Explorer Camps is the largest and best international kids’ camp in Slovenia. It has a one or two week, boys and girls aged 6-17, over-night camp where children are surrounded by a wonderful variety of outdoor, waterfront, arts and sports programs.
Campers stay in 3* hotel rooms with children from over 24 different countries constantly supervised by experienced native English speaking staff. The camper to staff ratio of 5:1 allows staff to teach, inspire, comfort and foster life-long memories and friendships.
They reconnect with nature, themselves, and those around them by learning to enjoy living in a electronic free environment. Our unique combination of extreme fun, child-centered philosophy, and physical location set in the heart of three national parks ensures that it’s an experience not to be missed!
We’re not a sports camp, nor an arts camp, nor an English language camp, nor an adventure camp. We’re all these things combined …. and more!
The Explorer program is camper-centered will all of the activities connected to campers’ wishes and desires so that they have the best experience possible. Every afternoon is complete choice empowering campers to research, discuss, and decide which of over seven different activities that includes sports, arts, and design to start with.
The morning and evening activities live with Explorer tagline ‘When’s the last time YOU did something for the first time?’ This means that we encourage our campers to step outside their comfort zones and try something new!
Optional and amazing new activity for Explorer Camps that is an extra cost. Run by Matjaž Repnik who is a Dive Master the founding member and president of the Water Sports diving society based in Slovenia.
The PADI Bubblemaker for 10-12 year olds is fun, easy and a safe way for youngsters to join in the family fun of scuba diving! All done in our indoor pool, it’s an amazingly fun introduction to the world of scuba diving.

What Our Campers Say
“Fun. Crazy and unforgettable activities. People from all over the world. Funny and generous leaders. All of this and more make this the best camp in the world! Friendship is the most important thing, and at Explorer Camps I have met people from all of the continent. Those 7 days I can admit were the best days of my life.”Aleks – Poland
“I really liked the camps because of the different and really exciting activities, and it was awesome meeting people from all around the world. However, the most important thing for me was the staff. I think that in every camp the atmosphere depends on the counselors’ attitude and view of camps … they made it awesome! I REALLY LOVE our counselors! So really THANK YOU!Kamile – Lithuania
“I loved making new friends from all around the world, and learning about their cultures and languages. It was so much fun with the cool activities, and also the time we got just to hang out with friends. The really interesting thing for me was even if there was something negative that came up, we learnt to always find a positive part to be happy with. I can’t wait to come back again next year!”Jenni – Italy
“The camps for sure were the highlight of my summer. Here you can find friends from all over the world with whom you stay in touch forever. The counselors are really friendly, cool, and supportive while the activities were exciting. All in all I had a lot of fun and I aquired memories that I will cherish forever.”Yevheni – Ukraine
“I remember imagining what the camps would be like and not knowing what to expect. Arriving there, I experienced all of those things I read in books for years- campfires, adventures, making friends with people from all over the world- but even better than fiction. I loved camps and the time I spent there. The staff, the nature, the activities, the other campers- they’re all amazing. Being there helped me see things from a different point of view. And it felt like every one of us campers belonged there, and everyone had their own important place. I hope you will have the opportunity to come to camps and experience it yourself- that’s something that really can’t be explained with words.”Andjela – Serbia
