What’s new in 2018?
Summer may have just finished but with a camp tagline of “When’s the last time you did something for the first time?” the Explorer team has been busy dreaming up new challenges and fun to keep our camp family entertained in 2018!
With the huge success of splitting the campers into Senior and Junior programs, we are adding another program for campers aged 10 – 12. They will enjoy a whole host of daring, fun and wild outdoor afternoon activities with each other. And maybe a few evening ones also …
Seniors Sleep Away
Keeping in-line with our focus on building Real-Life skills, we’re taking the teenagers away on an overnight camping trip in the wild sleeping under the stars. Together they’ll have to plan the entire trip including cooking dinner and breakfast on top of where to sleep.
Creativity and Creation Sessions
Even though Explorer Camps has a wide range of outdoor activities, there’s also space for campers to explorer their creative side. Whether it be T-Shirt Tie Dye, building Catapults or racing boats, our campers will have plenty of freedom to use their own creativity.
Campers will be tested to complete a set of demanding tasks deep in the forest using their orienteering skills to get to different checkpoints. Upon arrival the team needs to overcome an outdoor challenge together to get them closer to the end goal. Who will clock the fastest time? Who won’t be able to make it out?
All campers will be leaving the traditional Rope Course behind and moving up into the trees to Zip Line. It’s a true test of their courage and concentration being over 5 metres off the ground and a guaranteed hit!
Youngsters Lake BledTrip
The younger campers aged 7 – 10 will have a half-day trip to discover the beauties of the famous and must see Lake Bled. It’s a great way to wind down and enjoy one of the main attractions of Slovenia!
That’s right. We’ve only just begun revealing the surprises we have in store for our 2018 campers. More to come!
