Teens are encouraged to be participants, rather than spectators with a huge amount of freedom to create their own schedules. It’s the ultimate way for our senior campers to spend their summer immersed in English, doing fun outdoor activities while hanging out with young adults their ages.
Why do teenagers come back to Explorer Camps every year?
Teens ONLY. Freedom to Create.
All the activities are done without the 'little kids', meaning that ONLY the teenagers will be doing them together. As a result they are given the freedom, flexibility, and responsibility to create their own scheduling based on what their needs and likes are which equals happy teens.
Evening Choice. Closer Connections.
Being in a seperate building, it allows the teenagers to have more freedom at night to choose what to do. Whether it be a pool party, relax in the sauna, late night on-site disco, movie night, evening torch walk, or games room fun there's plenty for them to entertain themselves.
Exciting Activities. Challenges Guaranteed.
The camp offers longer activities such as rafting, biking, hiking, paintball, and the tree top adventure park which all have an element of fun, adrenaline and also teamwork. They bring the teenagers closer together, forcing them to communicate and support throughout the activity.
What attracts parents to Explorer Camps?
No Electronic Devices. Healthier Lifestyle.
Being device free, which is particularly hard for teens, campers can then engage in true communication and a healthier lifestyle. They enjoy access to nature, plenty of activity, good food, an appropriate sleep schedule, ample free time, the friendship of great teens and guidance of caring staff.
Break from School. Real-Life Learning.
Summer should be about fun & friends, learning skills school doesn't teach, and recharging. Teenagers NEED a break from the school year, not more of the same. Through activities like overnight camping, teambuilding, group discussions, the camp helps build useful life skills that stay with them forever.
Global Environment. Staff Mentoring.
Teens from over 18 different countries attend every year meaning that they constantly learn cross-cultural skills, and broaden their horizons. In addition, our experienced international Explorer staff act as positive role models who our Tweens turn to and learn life-long lessons from.
