Tweens are encouraged to develop skills in activities of their choice and are able to design their own weekly schedules around the required morning activities. With three different activity periods each day and our exciting outcamp trips, Tweens gain a unique sense of strength and independence.
Friends may sign up to do activities together—offering an outstanding opportunity to develop healthy attitudes and participate together in sports, trips, team-building, and special events.
Why do so many Tweens come back every year?
Tweens ONLY. Age Appropriate.
All group activities are done without 'little' and 'big' kids, which means they can connect and bond easier with those around them because they're the same age. Also the sessions can be created with an appropriate level of challenges, and fun with greater freedom and flexibility.
No Electronic Devices. Healthier Attitude.
Being device free, campers can then engage in true communication and a healthier lifestyle. They enjoy access to nature, plenty of activity, good food, an appropriate sleep schedule, ample free time, the friendship of great teens and guidance of caring staff.
Huge Variety. Freedom of Choice. .
Required group sessions have a range of activities to satisfy all needs whether it be in the water, on the land, or in the air. However, there is also a large number of options in the afternoon with Tweens being able to pick and choose what they would like to do .... or not.
What is it that parents trust so much about Explorer Camps?
Greater Freedom. More Responsibility.
Tweens are treated like young adults and given a lot of input into their own daily choices building their independence, and organisational skills. With this freedom comes more responsibility to purposeful decisions however it's the perfect environment to make mistakes.
Staff Mentors. Life-long Lessons.
Our experienced international Explorer staff become positive role models who our Tweens constantly turn to for help and support in this time of great personal changes. As a result our Tweens learn life-long lessons from mature adults who have lived and worked around the world.
Relaxed Atmosphere. Stronger Bonds.
The Explorer environment is built on a caring, understanding, and loving staff attitude free of judgement. This allows our Tweens to firstly be more comfortable knowing they're accepted for who they are. And as a result they're able to connect better with other campers.
