LEAD’s Camp Mental Health Certification introduces students, teachers, educators and parents to the risk factors, warning signs, and prevalence of mental illness in middle, high school, and college students.
Through interactive discussion, role-play activities, and an ABC action plan, LEAD empowers participants to respond to signs and symptoms of mental illness in crisis and non-crisis situations and to connect to appropriate professional, and self-help resources.C
Steve Hartley the Owner / Founder / Director of Explorer Camps is the certified trainer of Camp Mental Health so personally leads all trainings whether they be live or via the internet or a mixture.
CMH MATERIAL
All participants receive pre- and post-training material that they have access to all year round. On top of this is constant support from the LEAD team and instructors ensuring growth.
TRAUMA INFORMED CARE
Staff are also trained in creating a Trauma Informed environment which is an additional course led by Steve Hartley. Staff learn about trauma, and how best to support children with trauma.
4 HOUR LIVE TRAINING
The online training is led and run by Camp Director Steve Hartley, who is a certified trainer in Camp Mental Health. He focuses on developing practical tools to use in real-life situations.
FULLY ACCREDITED
Camp Mental Health courses provide cerfication that is valid for 2 years. All participants also receive continued education and support from the LEAD team and it is recognised internationally.
