EXPLORER WINTER CAMPS EUROPE - NEW YEAR 2022
Explorer Winter International Kids’ Camps are set in, Obertauern Austria. A truly magical winter wonderland with perfect ski conditions from November to May, it’s hard to miss the stunning snow-covered peaks. Great weather, unbelievable skiing, excellent resorts, amazing cuisine, great hospitality are just a few of the many reasons why you should choose Austria for the winter school breaks.
WHAT'S INCLUDED IN EXPLORER WINTER CAMPS 2022?
* 6 nights full board accommodation at the Felseralm, an excellent, well-equipped, family-friendly 3 star-hotel located at 1650m, in a winter wonderland just 5 minutes from the lifts in Obertauern, which boasts 100km of snow-sure pistes between 1630m and 2300m
* A healthy, varied breakfast, packed lunch and 3 course evening dinner and drinks daily, with produce sourced from Felseralm’s own farm and the local area.
* Private minibus shuttle directly to and from the lifts daily
* 5-day lift pass for the Obertauern ski region (km piste)
* Ski or snowboard lessons/ guiding with licensed Austrian ski instructors (morning and afternoon instruction Tuesday to Friday inclusive as well as Saturday morning). Typically 6-8 campers per group with 1 ski school instructor and 1 Explorer counsellor accompanying each group around the slopes*
* Drink and a hot snack/ small meal at a mountain restaurant each day on the slopes
* On-piste accident and medical insurance
* Themed days and fun events including Secret Santa, Krampus, fancy dress on the slopes, NYE programme and the Explorer Winter Olympics
* Apres-ski activities organised by Explorer staff daily including igloo-building, curling, snow-shoeing, table tennis and basketball
* Evening activities organised by Explorer staff each night including tobogganing, night skiing, ice-skating, ten-pin bowling, wellness, disco night and more
* The ever-present Explorer ‘magic’, focussing on the physical and mental well-being of our campers, our home-from-home feel and being a part of the Explorer family. As during summer, our camps include the Explorer Bead System, designed to reward and recognise positive behaviour, and counsellors leading daily group reflection sessions with their campers
* 24-hour supervision of campers by experienced Explorer staff, with at least 1 staff member to every 4-5 campers
