International Winter and Summer Kids' and Teens' Camps in Slovenia and Austria for 6-17 year olds
Do you know that an EXCELLENT teenage camp in Europe like Explorer Camps can have an extremely positive affect on a young person’s life? One of the big attractions of teens camps is that they build important life skills such as responsibility, accountability, and independence.
The best teen camps create a warm and caring atmosphere where adolescents improve their team work and communication skills in a variety of outdoor activities. Teenagers need to be challenged to step outside of their comfort zones and take health risks.
Every year over 70% of Explorer Camp’s teenagers return to the ‘home away from home’ Explorer family. According to satisfied teenagers a contributing factor is the fact they’re treated as young adults and are given additional freedom plus responsibilities to prepare them for the real-world.
The fact that teens sleep in a seperate building allows them that extra space and distance from the other campers to take advantage of their increased downtime to simply chill and connect. Making true life-long friendships is really what this teen program is all about.
An incredible new teen camp addition that encourages teens to grow more practical leadership skills that will help them at school, in life and also in the future.
The goal is to provide participants with practical opportunities to build leadership skills under the close and expert guidance of mature staff members.
An introduction into the teen leadership camp with a focus on the basics. Optional online modules before camps, with practical workshops and leadership opportunities on camp it’s definitely an incredible opportunity to grow skills not commonly taught at school.
Created to challenge our teens in a variety of practical workshops and leadership sessions. Wonderful support before and during camps all done with expert one-on-one mentorship designed to give your child that personal attention he or she needs.
Wonderful opportunity for our oldest campers to prepare for the real-world by spending close and quality time not only with their experienced mentors but the whole Explorer team. On top of this is a whole host of potential leadership opportunities where your child plans and runs activities alone but under the supervision of their personal mentor.
Every day at Explorer Camps teens can spend a majority of their time together enjoying the activities or simply chilling together after a long day.
It’s a perfect environment for teens to get away from the ‘school routine’ and in an environment that encourages healthy risk taking.
The groups always stay together in the mornings, and are designed to be more challenging so teens are always stepping out of their comfort zones.
Teen can create their own schedules in the afternoon and do activities such a Paintball, Horse Riding, SUPing, Adventure Park, Giant Swing as a group or do different optional activities.
Every evening teens have the power and freedom to decide what they would like to do. This could be chilling by the fire or in the rooms; having night disco; going for a night walk; a swim in the indoor pool and jacuzzi.
The higlight for our teens’ camp in Europe is the option to create their own schedule. This empowers teens to take on more responsibility and independence.
This additional choice helps them build life skills, but most importantly it brings the teenagers together to make common decisions and choices.
Unbelievably, our teens have the freedom to think up, create and run their own entertainment at different times during the day and evenings. Of course, this is always done under the close supervision of expert Explorer staff members, however they purposely give little input other to ensure the health and safety of the teens.
As for all campers, the teens can choose between a wide range of different activities to do every afternoon. However, those doing the teen camp are given more power to decide what potential activities they may want to do.
The evening time is perhaps the best time for teenagers. It’s when they have a lot of downtime to simply chill out in their room, or choose a whole host of other activities. The decision is in their hands.
Friendships are the GOLD of Explorer Camps and it’s something we truly believe in. Our experienced staff actively support teens in building strong friendships.
The key is scheduling in a lot of specific sessions throughout the week(s) where teens learn more about each other to make those positive connections.
The best part of camp? The fact that a majority of teens will meet each other before the camp even begins. This is a specific move to help start the connection process and ensure all teens feel welcome, accepted and are excited to join the camp.
The teens participate in very focused sessions created to bring them more together learning about the likes and dislikes of each other. It’s an important first step in understanding more about the vibe of the group.
Explorer staff members are very well trained in creating opportunities for teens to connect with others. It could be through specifically designed activities, or simple games, or even a 2-3 player activity designed to boost mutual understanding and friendships. It’s the perfect enviroment for all teenagers.
